Finding Us
- St Mary's is open daily from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm
- Shoreham-by-Sea is easily reached by bus and train, and lies just off the A27 between Brighton and Worthing
- The church lies at the heart of the town, bounded by Church Street,
St Mary's Road and East Street; there are public car parks nearby
We warmly welcome visitors to St Mary's, but at present our visitor facilities are limited. In particular, there are locked gates inside the church between the area under the tower and the main part of the church. It is still possible to have a good general view of the church's interior, but for those wanting to make a more detailed study of the architectural features it is necessary to arrange for someone to open the gates and to be in attendance.
During the summer months, stewards are on duty to welcome visitors and facilitate access to the whole building throughout the Adur Festival in June, and on certain other days as well. It is also possible to see the entire church at the end of the 11.00 am Services on Sundays (about 12.15 pm) and Tuesdays (about 11.45 am) while someone is still on duty, and during Farmers' Market Coffee Mornings on the second Saturday of each month (10.00 am–1.00 pm). At other times, those who wish to view the whole church are invited to contact the Churchwardens, who will try to make arrangements for a steward to be present if at all possible, although it may sometimes be necessary to return another day.
We look forward to welcoming you.
