Worship

Worship is at the heart of our life together at St Mary de Haura. It is through prayer and worship that we grow in relationship with God and come to discover the meaning and purpose of our lives.

We seek to offer a rich and varied pattern of services at St Mary’s – both throughout the week and throughout the year – in order to cater to everyone’s tastes. We hope that our worship can be enjoyed by the young as well as the old, and by visitors and newcomers to church as well as experienced churchgoers.

Further details of our services can be seen in this section. But the best way of discovering our worship is to join us on a Sunday or during the week. Why don’t you come and try us out? You would be most welcome.

Daily Prayer

The busy life of St Mary de Haura is underpinned by a daily rhythm of prayer. From Monday-Saturday at 5.30pm, Evening Prayer is said in church. Many people find that this short service of readings and prayers is the perfect way to end their day, allowing for peace and reflection in the beautiful surroundings of the chancel.

Joining for Evening Prayer is also helpful if you wish to speak to one of the clergy, since one or more of the priests at St Mary’s will be available for conversation before or after the service.
